Stress
In her TED talk, Kelly McGonigal tells is that how we think about stress matters. A typical stress response involves our heart rate going up and our blood vessels constricting. Chronic stress is linked with cardiovascular disease. However, if we view stress as helpful, our heart still pounds, but our blood vessels do not constrict.
