Growth Mindset
|
In this video, Carol Dweck talks about developing a growth mindset. She describes children who when presented with a puzzle that was a little to difficult to solve said, "I love a challenge." She contrasts this with children who found the challenge catastrophic. The former, Dweck calls growth mindset and the latter she calls fixed mindset. Fixed mindset students are more likely to cheat and look for people who have done worse than them in order to make themselves feel better.
Dweck is an advocate for growth mindset and in this video talks about how it can be learned. |
