Compassion
Compassion is the awareness of others' distress coupled with the desire to alleviate their suffering. In his TED talk, Daniel Goleman discusses compassion for others. He asks why aren't we more compassionate? He looks at how our focus influences our compassion for others and offers tips for connecting with colleagues.

Self-compassion
